Pear and Greek Yogurt Parfaits

Ingredients

  • 4 (15-ounce) cans Pacific Northwest Canned Pears, halves or slices, in juice, drained
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups Greek-style vanilla yogurt
  • 2 cups granola

Method

Dice the drained pears and put them in a bowl with the honey and cinnamon. Toss to thoroughly coat the pear pieces.

For each parfait, fill the bottom of a glass dish, drinking glass, or canning jar with 1/3 cup pear mixture. Top the pears with 1/4 cup yogurt and 3 tablespoons of granola. Repeat ending with approximately 2 tablespoons of granola and a few pear pieces. Serve immediately, or chill until ready to serve.

  • 10 cups granola

Method

  • 1 no. 10 can pears, Pacific Northwest, canned, diced, extra light syrup, drained*
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 152 oz yogurt, Greek, vanilla, non-fat
  • 2 lbs 6 oz granola

Method

1. Drain pears.

2. Combine honey and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Add pears. Using a spatula, gently fold, making sure to evenly coat pear dices.

3. Layer ingredients in a 20 oz clear cup in the following order:

½ cup yogurt (no. 8 disher)

½ cup pear mixture (no. 8 disher)

½ cup yogurt (no. 8 disher)

½ cup granola (2 oz weight)

Cover parfait cup with lid.

CCP: Hold at 41° F or lower.

*We recommend using only U.S. grown and canned pears for the best flavor, quality, texture and yield.
